What is the time?

The time is right to bake a cake.

Lemon cake with fresh lemon peel and lemon juice.

Detail on cupboard. Inspiered by my Angelinas!

Beaut' eggs from the Angelinas. Good girls.

Lemons from the orchard. In earlier times every backyard in Australia had at least a lemontree. Not any more! This Lemontree bears all year round fruits. Some are ready to pick, some are still green, different sizes unripe ones and flowers as well. This is the optimal tree to have in the garden. How nice is this? Oh I need a lemon, go out to the tree and grab one. Can anybody imagine a better life?

Anybody likes to lick the bowl?

A pretty tea towel from Switzerland.

Baking in a Miele oven at 180 C for 1 Hour.

What is the time. Ready for a cup of tea and a piece of cake?

Oh, yes, thank you, it looks and tastes delicious.

Recipe for Lemon Cake (from BB Backbuch, changed and adapted, I do this to most recipes)
220g unsalted Butter
200g Sugar
5 eggs
lemon peel of two lemons (I peel strips from the lemons avoiding the pith and grind the peel in my spice mill. It works very well.)
250g self raising flour. Add also a pinch of salt
Whisk butter and sugar together until creamy,
add eggs and lemon peel whisk again
add flour, pinch of salt and 2tbsp lemonjuice.
Fill a cake pan fittet with one layer baking paper. So the cake slips easely out of the cake pan.
Bake at 180 C 60 minutes. Test with a needle, it should come out clean.
Icing.
150g Icing sugar
2-3 tblsp lemonjuice. Check it doesn't get to runny.
