What a wonderful sunrise..love the quiet time of the day- nature at it's best.
To answer your comments:
No cuttings of flowers are allowed to bring back from vacations - it is against the law.
Shelf Mushrooms looked to me soft, but I didn't touch them. Perhaps some sort of Trametes.
The small gilled mushrooms are very soft and "cute".
Have you visited the Pilz.de mushroom website? A lot of pictures and a forum to asked questions.
I have two more posts with mushrooms, lichens and mosses; all from the Island of Dominican Republic - Samana, very interesting indeed.
- Cheers Gisela
A very cold morning in Guildwood- Toronto

Oh so beautiful, Trudi ! What a great way to wake up to a new day. Isnt it funny how the sky keeps its most beautiful moments for sunrise and sunset?

Oh can I come visit you? Your gardens look magnificent! The colors in your sunrise look just like the colors in my sunset post. Glad I stopped by today.

Sunrise! You must be writing from a warm climate. Here in Naples Florida we mostly watch sunsets. That's not because we aren't early birds, but rather we have the Gulf of Mexico to the west. Over in Miami they are more prone to catching a sunrise.

Hi Titania!
Thank you for your comments.
Samana is a beautiful Peninsula with many interesting things to see and to explore.
My last fungi post from our vacation is now published including a Gecko I didn't know about. Surprise..he must have walked in to my picture and I didn't see him.
We have a "heat wave" today with temperatures up to +8C.
- Cheers Gisela.

Hallo Titania, what a beautiful sunrise again! Unfortunately, I cannot see sunrises here because I live in the middle of the city, an d when I stretch out my head from the window I can see only a small strip of sky.
That's why your beautiful sunrises are even more precious to me :)
Have a nice Sunday and thx for your visit, too! Love your new photo!

I have been hearing all about the terrible wild fires you are having near Melbourne. I am thinking about you all, and hoping and praying that you are OK! Mo x

Beautiful sunrise! I hope you are well away from the fires in Australia, which sound horrific.

Hallo, ein feuerroter Himmel ist in Australien im Moment wohl nicht das beste.
Hoffe du hast keine nassen Füsse bekommen.

Your beautiful sunrise photos are like a soothing balm, Trudi. The soft pinks of a sunrise or sunset are one of nature's loveliest offerings, aren't they? :)
We've had Australia in our minds and hearts as we follow news of the horrific events taking place in Victoria, and also the terrible flooding in QLD. My prayers are with my fellow Australians.
Such tragedy is difficult to comprehend.

I see I'm behind. Your colors here are beautiful!

Thank you to everybody for your kind and generous comments. Fortunately I am not affected physically by the fires. Mentally it is very sad to comprehend the tragedies happening in the South. In the far North people are badly affected by floods.
