Daisy,Daisy...

Yellow daisy; Euryops nitida;

Daisy, Daisy give me your answer do.
I'm half crazy all for the love of you....

DAISY: Innocence, loyal love, I'll never tell, purity, love that conquers all. Associated with the fifth wedding anniversary.

The pretty African Daisy which is available in different colours and shapes.

Daisies are one of the most popular flowers to grow in the home garden. They are fairly easy to grow. Daisies can be grown successfully in the open garden or in pots, baskets or troughs.

Daisies come in all shapes, sizes and colours.. Most of the daisies are perennials. Daisies can be grown from seed, but most popular and fastest is from divisions and cuttings.

Choose a place in your garden with is well drained and the soil is rich in nutrients. Daisies do not like wet feet. They also like full sun.

Believe it or not:
Life is to short to iron tea towels.

All photos from my garden TS.

Beautiful daisies, Titania! The osteospermum are my favorite! Are they evergreen where you live?

One of my favourite flowers ... such lovely photos. I really love the African Daisies ... that purple and white is just gorgeous.

Having never even thought about ironing tea towels ... I have to concur ... life is far, far too short to be ironing tea towels!!!!

Just read your T-towel saying and remembered my fridge magnet that said "An immaculate home is the sign of a dull woman". Had to remember to remove it when the cleaning lady came over. Daisies are delightful - I've got "Crazy Daisy" shastas in bloom now.

I love the Daisies, but the larger Shasta Daisy we have is "wild" in our garden as she seeds everywhere... I can only love so much. ;)

I remember when daisies were mostly white. Now, we have all these beautiful choices. Such simple but pretty flowers!

Hi I've been away, sorry for not visiting lately. I love daisies too. I have heaps of African daisy, they are so hardy and keep reseeding themselves. I had to laugh at your quote...so true but strange coming from a Swiss lady. I remember being gobsmacked in Switzerland when I saw a friend ironing face washers.

They are so pretty Titania! I like all of them. You have made good choices ;-) I have to learn more about daisy and plant some in my garden too. I love their cheerie look. They can really bring smile to a face. Have a pleasant evening!

lovely looking things! my pansies have now withered and i was thinking about what to replace them with, petunias always work but i'd like something different, and i think daisies might be the thing really. the white/blueish edged ones or dark pink perhaps... i will hunt for something nice come next weekend! thanks for the inspiration:)

I do love growing daisies - europs don't do well here but I have lots of oestospermums growing though they are only annuals for me.

As for ironing tea towels - I gave up doing that very shortly after getting married - my sister in law still does........ I'd rather blog, take photos and garden than iron.

Oh so very pretty, Trudi! Great motivation (as if I need it!) to go out and look for a nursery that'll sell them ;)
Iron tea-towels? When you can be out in your garden? The very idea! :D

Barbara

you look so sweet, upon the seat,
on a bicycle made for two.

When I see daisies, I want to sing this song.

Thanks for the names. You are so knowledgeable. On my main road, we have a divider, they grow yellow daisies and I took some photos just yesterday.
