SkyWatch Friday; Sunset;

Cyclone 'Hamish' has brought wind and rain to our area. He has been tossing around the grey and black billowing clouds. Despite the sun has bravely tried to put up with it and has let me have a few sunset pictures before the red-gold disappeared behind another squall of rain.

Beautiful, Trudi!
The last photo reminds me of an erupting volcano, complete with fiery lava shooting up.

Gorgeous shots, Trudi. Your photos make me long for rain...Here, March is dry and dusty. A light shower would take care of the dust.

I haven't seen stormclouds in a long while. Loved your photos!

Wild weather makes for gorgeous photos! These photos make me think of Maxfield Parrish, one of my favorite artists.

Great skies and great captures

What a beautiful touch of gold - it's almost unfair to have that beauty on the top of the clouds, nearly hidden from view.

Hallo Titania,
Deine Bilder sind gigantisch, aber auch bedrohlich.

I'm glad you were able to capture at least a little of the beautiful colours through the clouds, Trudi.
We've had rain and a very brief taste of spring this week, but today we're back to arctic winds and frigid temperatures. Brrr!
Spring is coming though :)
Have a lovely weekend.

Isn't it interesting how bad weather can create the most beautiful skies! Lovely shots.
